Introduction

Welcome to the wikia for Season 12 of Kpnna's Expect the Unexpected game series, The Puppet Master. This season had a unique main twist, The Puppet Master. Each week, the previously evicted houseguest would choose one houseguest to be the "puppet master." The puppet master would then choose someone to be their "puppet." The puppet master would control their puppet's actions for the entire week, including eviction voting, nominations, and PoV decisions.

Jacob returned to host for the 12th season, and it premiered Saturday, February 8, 2014. The finale was on Saturday, March 8, 2014, with Joe being crowned the winner receiving 4 out of 5 jury votes.

How to Play

• There was an HoH competition.
• The HoH then nominated two houseguests for eviction.
• The PoV competition took place. The HoH, the two nominees, and three random houseguests who attended the event got to play. In the event the HoH or a nominee did not show up, another random houseguest would get to play, so the number playing was always 6.
• The winner of the PoV could take down one of the nominated houseguests if they wanted to. If they did, the HoH named the replacement nominee.
• The houseguests (excluding the nominated houseguests and the HoH) then voted to evict one of the nominees. In the event of a tie, the HoH casted the deciding eviction vote.
• Each week, the previously evicted houseguest would choose a current houseguest to be the "Puppet Master." The puppet master then chose another houseguest to be their "puppet." This twist lasted from the second week to the end of Week 8.
• The house did not know who the puppet master was, and the puppet master was not allowed to reveal their identity or risk ejection.
• The puppet master controlled the actions of their puppet for the entire week, including nominations (if their puppet was HoH), veto decisions (if their puppet was the PoV holder), and eviction voting.

• ^Note 1 :      Davey did not have a partner and was unable to participate in the Week 1 HoH. Therefore, he received immunity. JoJo enter on Day 2 and also received immunity since he was unable to participate in the HoH competition.
• ^Note 2 : Lauren had two additional penalty votes count against her during the Week 4 eviction.
• ^Note 3 : Since Lauren did not submit a choice for the Puppet Master following her eviction, Vanessa was randomly chosen to be the Puppet Master for Week 5.
• ^Note 4 :      Vanessa filled up the immunity/re-enter bucket in the Week 5 HoH competition. She received immunity for Week 5 and got to choose JoJo, Kaya, or Lewis to re-enter the house. She chose Kaya to re-enter.

Most of the events for The Puppet Master were live. A 3-day schedule was usually followed, where a houseguest was evicted every 3 days with the exception of Double Evictions. However, a nonlive competition or a break day occasionally caused a week to be more than 3 days. Valentine's Day (Fri, Feb 14) was a break day, along with Thu, Feb 27 and Fri, Feb 28. Week 1

To start off the season, 11 brand new houseguests entered the house on Day 1. The big twist of the season was revealed: starting week 2, the previously evicted houseguest would choose one houseguest to be the "puppet master." That houseguest would instantly have to choose a "puppet" to control for the week. The puppet master would vote for their puppet, make nominations if the puppet won HoH, and the PoV decision if the puppet was the PoV holder. However, the puppet master and the puppet would be completely secret- therefore, the puppet would not know they were being secretly controlled unless their nominations or PoV decision was for some reason not theirs. However, there would be no way to prove it to the rest of the house. After the first endurance HoH "I Love You!" Eric was crowned the HoH and Davey received immunity. On Day 2, Eric nominated Kaya and Lewis for eviction. Right after the nomination ceremony, JoJo entered the house, bringing the total houseguest count to 12. JoJo received immunity since he was unable to participate in the HoH competition. On Day 3, Lauren won the "Match Maker" PoV competition, and then later decided to not use the PoV. On Day 4, it was revealed that Kaya had been evicted, receiving 8 out of 9 eviction votes.

Week 1 Intro

Week 1 HOH Competition

This competition took place on Day 1 and was called "I Love You!" It was an endurance competition. Adam, Connor, Davey, Eric, Joe, Lauren, Lewis, Mike, Tim, and Vanessa showed up and therefore got to participate.

Before the houseguests were explained the competition rules, they were told they would be doing the HoH in duos and had 5 minutes to pick a partner. The partners were Adam & Lewis, Connor & Tim, Davey & Lauren, Eric & Vanessa, and Joe & Mike. However, shortly afterwards, Lauren had to leave so Davey become the "Love Cheerleader." He didn't participate in the competition, but he had immunity for the week.  At random times, the phrase "I love my houseguests!" was posted. The houseguests had 2 minutes to post in reply "I love my host!" If they failed to post that, both them and their partner were eliminated. Once the final duo was left, a task was presented, and the first person to complete the task won HoH. Eric completed the task first and won the HoH competition.

Competition Highlights

• On the 1st "I love my houseguests!" Adam and TLewis failed to post, so the duo of Adam & Lewis was eliminated.
• On the 6th "I love my houseguests!" Connor and Joe failed to post, so the duos of Connor & Tim and Joe & Mike were eliminated.
• The final duo of Eric & Vanessa were offered 2 minutes to drop out and let their partner win. Neither dropped out.
• The task "PM Kpnna the numbers 1-10 in separate PMs" was posted. Eric beat Vanessa by 2 seconds and won the HoH.

Week 1 Nominations

The nomination ceremony took place on Day 2. As HoH, Eric had to nominate 2 houseguests for eviction. As an immunity holder, Davey automatically received his key. The keys were given out in this order: Adam, Connor, Davey, Joe, Lauren, Mike, Tim, Vanessa. This left Kaya and Lewis as the nominees. JoJo entered the house right after the nomination ceremony, and received immunity for the week.

Week 1 POV Competition

This POV competition took place on Day 3 and was called "Match Maker." As HoH, Eric participated. As a nominee, Lewis participated. Kaya failed to show up, so a fourth person was randomly selected to play. Connor, Lauren, Mike, and Tim were randomly chosen to join them.

A few characteristics about a Big Brother US houseguests were listed. The first person to correctly name the houseguest that was described received a date with that person. The first person to get 3 dates won the competition. Lauren won.

Week 1 Veto Ceremony

The PoV Ceremony took place on Day 3. As winner of the PoV, Lauren decided not to use the PoV, leaving the nominations of Kaya and Lewis intact.

After the eviction on Day 4, Kaya selected Lauren to be the puppet master, and Lauren selected JoJo to be her puppet. Davey & Tim became the co-HoHs after the "Big Brother Love" HoH competition. On Day 5, Davey nominated JoJo for eviction, and Tim nominated Eric for eviction. Davey then dominated the "Lovely Lyrics" PoV competition. Right after the PoV, Tim decided to walk from the game due to personal issues. This left Davey with the full HoH power for the remainder of the week. On Day 6, Davey decided to not use the PoV and keep the nominations the same. Day 7 was a break day for Valentine's Day. On Day 8, it was revealed that JoJo was evicted, receiving 7 out of 7 eviction votes.

Week 2 Puppet Master

For Week 2 only, the choices for puppet masters were limited to only new houseguests (Connor, Davey, Lauren, Lewis, Mike, and Tim) and the puppet master could only choose between returning houseguests as their puppets (Adam, Eric, Joe, JoJo, and Vanessa). The previously evicted houseguest Kaya decided to name Lauren as the puppet master. Lauren chose JoJo to be her puppet.

Week 2 HOH Competition

The pairs for the competition were Adam & JoJo, Connor & Joe, Davey & Tim, Lauren & Mike, and Tim & Vanessa.

Round 1 Questions

For Round 1, houseguests were given 2 minutes to answer all the questions at once. Answers could only be submitted once, and only the first answers from each duo were accepted. The duos with the most right moved onto round 2.

• 1. What percent of women send themselves flowers on valentine’s Day? (HINT: Answer is or is between 10% and 15%)
• 2. What state produces a majority of America's roses? (Hint: State is in Western United States)
• 3. American women prefer flowers over chocolate on Valentine's Day. (True or False?)
• 4. What year did Pope Gelasius declare February 14th to be Saint Valentine's Day?
• 5. Who applied for a patent on a new invention on Valentine's Day 1876?

4 questions were posted one at a time. The first person to answer the question correctly received a point for their pair. The team with the most points won the Co-HoH.

Week 2 Nominations

The nomination ceremony took place on Day 5. As Co-HoHs, both Euro and Wonderdog had to nominate one houseguest each for eviction. The keys were given out in this order: Lewis, Connor, Vanessa, Lauren, Mike, Joe, Adam. This left Eric and JoJo as the nominees. Davey nominated JoJo, and Tim nominated Eric.

Week 2 POV Competition

This POV competition took place on Day 5 and was called "Lovely Lyrics." As a Co-HoH, Davey participated participated. Tim failed to show up so a fourth person was randomly chosen to join. As the nominees, Eric and JoJo participated. Connor, Lauren, and Lewis were randomly chosen to join them.

2 lines of lyrics were posted from a song about love, emotions, relationships, etc. The first person to correctly name the song and artist received a point. The person person to reach 3 points won, but a minimum of 7 lyric clippings had to be posted. Since it was impossible for anyone else to win, Davey claimed PoV after 6 lyric clippings.

The PoV Ceremony took place on Day 6. As winner of the PoV, Davey decided to not use the PoV, and keep his previous nominations of Eric and JoJo intact.

The previously evicted houseguest JoJo decided to name Vanessa as the puppet master. Vanessa chose Mike to be her puppet.

Week 3 HOH Competition

This HoH competition took place on Day 8 and was called "Tasks." As outgoing HoH, Davey was unable to participate. Connor, Eric, Joe, Mike, and Vanessa showed up and therefore got to participate.

A task was presented. Participants had 1 minute to bet on how much or how little of the task they could do. Whoever had the most difficult answer had to do the task. If they succeeded, the person who has least difficult answer was eliminated. If they failed their task, they were eliminated. This continued until there was a winner. Eric won the competition.

This PoV competition took place on Day 10 and was called "Big Brother Trivia." As HoH, Eric participated. As a nominee, Davey played. Lewis failed to show up, so a fourth houseguest was randomly selected to play. Connor, Joe, Mike, and Vanessa were randomly chosen to join them.

A trivia question about Big Brother USA was asked. The first person to correctly answer the question received a point. The first person to receive 3 points won the competition. Connor was the first person to reach 3 points and therefore won the PoV.

Week 3 Veto Ceremony

The PoV Ceremony took place on Day 10. As winner of the PoV, Connor decided to save Davey from eviction. As HoH, Eric decided to renominate Vanessa.

Davey won the "Now That's What I Call Big Brother!" PoV competition, and on Day 13, he decided to save Eric from eviction. As HoH, Vanessa renominated Mike. On Day 14, it was revealed that Lauren had been evicted, receiving 4 out of 7 votes to evict, of which 2 were penalty votes.

The previously evicted houseguest Lewis decided to name Mike as the puppet master. Mike chose Adam to be his puppet.

Week 4 HOH Competition

This HoH competition took place on Day 11 and was called "Judge, Jury, Executioner." As outgoing HoH, Eric was unable to participate. Adam, Connor, Davey, Joe, Mike, and Vanessa showed up, and therefore got to participate.

To start, a poll was posted for 4 minutes; the two people with the most votes faced off in Round 1. All contestants not facing off voted to eliminate one of the two houseguests. The person with the most votes was eliminated. The person not eliminated chose two people to face off for Round 2. This continued until there were two houseguests left, when the eliminated houseguests had to vote for a winner. Vanessa received 3 of the 4 votes to win, and therefore won the competition.

Week 4 Nominations

The nomination ceremony took place on Day 12. As HoH, Vanessa had to nominate 2 houseguests for eviction. The keys were given out in this order: Connor, Adam, Davey, Joe, Mike. This left Eric and Lauren as the nominees.

Week 4 POV Competition

This PoV competition took place on Day 12 and was called "Now That's What I Call Big Brother!" Connor, Davey, Eric, Joe, Mike, and Vanessa were the only six houseguests to show up and therefore got to participate.

A video with 10-second clips of 15 songs was posted. Players had 15 minutes to correctly name as many of the songs and artists as they could. Each song and artist counted as 1 point for a total of 30 points. The list of 15 songs/artists was PMed to Kpnna all at once. Once it was submitted, it could not be changed. In the event of a tie, whoever submitted first won. Davey won getting 29 out of a possible 30 points.

Week 4 Veto Ceremony

The PoV ceremony took place on Day 13. As PoV winner, Davey decided to save Eric from eviction. As HoH, Vanessa renominated Mike.

After the eviction on Day 14, Lauren was unable to decide a Puppet Master. Therefore, the title of Puppet Master was randomly given to Vanessa. Vanessa selected Eric to be her puppet. It was revealed that there would be a chance for JoJo, Kaya, or Lewis to re-enter the house as part of the endurance HoH competition "Oh What a Tangled Web We Weave." Joe and Vanessa dominated the competition, with Joe receiving the HoH and Vanessa receiving immunity for the week and the power to choose who returns to the house. Vanessa selected Kaya to return to the house. On Day 15, Joe nominated Connor and Kaya for eviction. On Day 16, Adam won the "True or False" PoV comeptition and decided to not use his power. On Day 17, it was revealed that Connor has been evicted, receiving 4 out of 5 votes to evict.

Since Lauren did not submit a name for who she wanted to be the puppet master, one was chosen at random. Vanessa became the puppet master and chose Eric to be her puppet.

Week 5 HOH/Return Competition

This endurance HoH/Return competition called "Oh What a Tangled Web We Weave" took place on Day 14. Adam. Connor, Davey, Eric, Joe, Mike, and Vanessa showed up and therefore got to participate.

Every houseguest had theie own topic (or "row"), and on one end of the row was a giant bucket of blood. On the other end were 2 containers will small golf balls at the bottom and a small hole on top. Houseguests has to fill up the containers with blood so the golf balls would rise to the top, and they could grab them out of the containers. To put one cup of blood into the container, houseguests had to post *fills up cup*, *runs down lane*, *Fills (HoH or Immunity/Re-Enter) bucket with cup #(whatever cup it was)*, and *Runs down lane* in separate posts. The two containers available were the HoH container (which took 100 cups to fill) and the Immunity/Re-Enter container (which took 100 cups to fill). The person who filled the Immunity/Re-Enter bucket would not only receive immunity for Week 5, but also choose either JoJo, Kaya, or Lewis to re-enter the house. All houseguests could fill the container of their choice, and could change containers if they wished as long as they started from cup one. Vanessa could only fill the Immuniuty/Re-Enter bucket since she was outgoing HoH. One a houseguest got their golf ball, they had to post *grabs ball*, *runs down lane*, and *hits buzzer* to confirm their win. Once they got the prize from one of their buckets, they were out of the competition. Vanessa won the Immunuty/Re-Enter Power, and chose Kaya to re-enter the game, and Kaya won HoH.

This competition was called "True or False." It took place on Day 16. Adam, Davey, Eric, Joe, Kaya, and Vanessa showed up and therefore got to participate. However, it became apparent Kaya was not active once the competition started and he was disqualified after Round 4.

A statement about this season was posted. Participants had to determine with the statement was true or false within 1 minute. If they were correct, they received a point. The person with the most points after 7 statements won the competition. However, the competition ended after Round 6, since no one else could win besides Adam.

This nonlive PoV competition was posted on Day 23, with results being on Day 24. The competition was called "Big Brother Piñatas." All six remaining houseguests could compete: Adam, Davey, Joe, Kaya, Mike, and Vanessa.

All of the participants were given 10 pieces of candy. However, with a slight variation from the typical rules, houseguests could keep as many of the piece of candy however they wanted, or distribute them to whomever they wanted. The person closest to 20 candies without going over would win the PoV. If someone received more than 20 pieces of candy, they were eliminated. Kaya won the competition with 15 pieces of candy. Adam failed to submit candies so all candies for him were void.

Following the eviction, the houseguests headed into the first and only double eviction of the season. Davey selected Joe to be the puppet master, and Joe selected Vanessa to be his puppet. Vanessa started the double eviction off with an HoH win during the "High Karma, Low Karma" competition. Joe chose to let her decide her own nominees of Adam and Kaya. Joe then confirmed his safety with his "Betting" PoV win. He kept the nominations the same. After a tied vote, Joe changed Vanessa's tiebreaker vote and Kaya was evicted.

The previously evicted houseguest Davey decided to name Joe as the puppet master. Joe chose Vanessa to be his puppet.

Day 25 HOH Competition

Joe, Mike, and Vanessa showed up to this HoH competition and therefore got to participate. The competition was called "High Karma, Low Karma."

Houseguests had 8 minutes to get 2 people to PM Kpnna their username. The karma of the 2 people were taken, and the lowest amount was subtracted from the highest amount. The number left over was the score of that player.

• The same person could not mail Kpnna for 2 different people.
• Any houseguests from this season were not allowed to PM Kpnna for the competition.
• Kpnna could not confirm or deny if someone PM'ed him until after the 8 minutes were over.
• If more than 2 people messaged Kpnna for the same person, only the first 2 were counted.

After 8 minutes, still no one had won, so the comp continued until someone got 2 people to message Kpnna. Vanessa won after getting someone with 5,380 karma and someone with 216 karma, for a final score of 5,264.

Vanessa had very little time to decide on nominations after the HoH competition concluded. She announced her nominations of Adam and Kaya in the living room.

A question about this season was asked along with a range of $$$ that could be bet. Houseguests had to answer the question along with a $$$ bet. If the answer is correct, they gain the amount of $$$ bet. If the answer is incorrect, they lose the amount of $$$ bet. Houseguests had 90 seconds to answer or they would lose the highest possible $$$ bet. The person with the most $$$ at the end of 5 questions won.

Joe had very little time to make a decision for the PoV ceremony after the PoV competition concluded. He decided to not use the PoV and keep the nominations of Adam and Kaya intact.

The PoV ceremony & eviction took place on Day 27. Adam's puppet master Mike let him make his own decision. As winner of the PoV, Adam decided to not use the PoV. Part 1 of the final HoH competition called "BB Greetings" took place on Day 27. Adam, Joe, and Mike showed up and therefore got to participate.

One of these three phrases were posted at random times, and houseguests had 2 minutes to post the correct responce to the greeting. If the houseguests failed to post the correct greeting within the time limit, they were eliminated from the competition. The last person left in the competition won Part 1.

Week 9 HOH Competition Parts 2/3

Parts 2 and 3 of the final HoH competition took place on Day 28. After Adam failed to show up to Part 2 of the competition after an hour (with no notification), Joe automatically won Part 2 of the competition. Part 3 of the final competition, which was Joe vs. Mike, was divided into 2 parts. The first part consisted of 4 jury statements. For every correct answer, they received an advantage in the second part of the Part 3 HoH, "Codebreaker."

8 questions were asked about the game all at once, and the answer to each question was a number between 0-9. The eight digits in order formed a passcode. Once a player submitted the correct passcode, their lock would open, winning Part 3. However, if the passcode was incorrect, the lock did not open and that had to figure out what was wrong. They were not informed how many were wrong and which ones were wrong. Joe had 1 advantage, and Mike had 2 advantages. For the first 20 minutes, they could use these and find out how many digits were wrong in their passcode. After 20 minutes, the participants were told how many digits were wrong in their passcodes every time they guessed. Mike finally won Part 3 after nearly an hour of guessing codes.

Week 9 Eviction Results

The final eviction took place on Day 28. Since Mike was the final HoH, Adam and Joe were automatically the final nominees, and Mike had the sole vote to evict. Mike decided to evict Adam, bringing Joe with him to the final 2.

Finale Night

After the final eviction on Day 28, the houseguests were given the rest of the day and before the final to ask the finalists as many questions as they wanted and talk amongst themselves to decide on their votes. The live finale was at 1:00pm EST on Day 29, and lasted about 3 hours. During the finale, all the houseguests went on a Skype call to talk about the game, and Jacob revealed the puppet masters and puppets, and read all the Diary Rooms. To start, the finalists were asked one more question by all of the houseguests on the Skype call. The finalists gave their final speeches, and the jurors had 2 minutes to change their jury votes if they wanted to. After that, all jury votes were final. Each week was then summarized, revealing the eviction votes, Diary Rooms, and all the puppet masters and puppets and if they had any effect on the vote. There was one last final discussion about the overall gameplay during the season. Then the winner was announced; Joe had won receiving jury votes from everyone except Kaya. Vanessa failed to vote in time, and as a result Connor got the opprotunity to vote. Jacob then briefly talked about Season 13 of the series, ending the crazy drama-filled season.

The House

There was a topic in the group forum for each room in the house. Rooms included the kitchen, bathroom, storage room, living room, backyard, and the three bedrooms: The Puppets, The Puppeteers Bedroom 1, and The Puppeteers Bedroom 2. All competitions took place in the backyard, all nomination ceremonies took place in the kitchen, and all PoV ceremonies and eviction ceremonies took place in the Living Room.
